A trained ballet dancer, Jean-Louis Scherrer was an apprentice at Christian Dior, alongside Yves Saint Laurent during the 50’s. He went on the start his own haute couture establishment in 1962 and has dressed some of the wealthiest and most famous women in the world during his time, including Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch and Ann Getty. He took inspiration from the East, which is visible in this blouse, with its vibrant patterned design of pinks, purples and gold in a luxurious silk. This piece is sophisticated, yet sexy, a combination which has defined the brand’s aesthetic for years.
